Revised Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems Template, v5.1

A revised Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems, v5.1 template has been posted on the CCMS web site.  This template must be used no later than February 6, 2017.  The template was revised to reflect that the effective date of the January 2017 central air conditioner and heat pump test procedure final rule was extended to March 21, 2017.   DOE will not require manufacturers to submit the new certification fields adopted by the January 2017 final rule prior to the effective date of the rule. However, this delayed effective date does not relieve manufacturers from the requirement to provide the information currently specified at 10 C.F.R. § 429.16(e) in certification reports to DOE for CACs and CHPs. Thus, manufacturers should continue certifying both new basic models and existing basic models pursuant to the regulations on the version 5.1 template.

The Certification page on this version 5 template is different from those in version 4 templates.  Instructions for completing the Certification page and the rest of the template can be found here.
