Revised Templates for Product/Equipment Types Affected by September 9, 2025, Final Rule

Revised templates aligning with the Final Rule published by the Department of Energy on September 9, 2025, have been posted. See 90 FR 43371. This Final rule reverted the amendments made by the October 2024 Certification, Labeling, and Enforcement Final Rule. See 89 FR 81994.

The October 2024 Final Rule established new or amended reporting requirements for various products/equipment to align with existing and new energy conservation standards. Those new or amended reporting requirements are now rescinded and are optional. The following templates have been updated to reflect this:

  • Air Cleaners, v5.1
  • Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems, Appendix M1, v5.5
  • Commercial Electric Storage Water Heaters, v5.3
  • Commercial Instantaneous Water Heaters and Hot Water Supply Boilers, v5.6
  • Computer Room Air Conditioners, v5.4
  • Dedicated Purpose Pool Pump Motors, v5.1
  • Dehumidifying Direct-Expansion Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems, v5.1
  • Dishwashers, v5.6
  • External Power Supplies Other Than Switch-Selectable and Adaptive Single-Voltage External Power Supplies, v5.5
  • Switch-Selectable and Adaptive Single-Voltage External Power Supplies, v5.5
  • External Power Supplies - Spare and Service Part Sales Exempt from Level VI Standards, v5.4
  • Portable Air Conditioners, v5.2
  • Residential Clothes Washers, v5.6
  • Small Air-Cooled 3-Phase Commercial Package and Variable Refrigerant Flow Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, v5.1
  • Doors for Walk-In Coolers and Freezers, v5.7
